The evolution of automotive exhibitions in Iran
The 17th Mashhad exhibition showed an evolution in the automotive exhibitions and the maturity of Iranian automakers in this kind of events.
Khodrocar – Mashhad Auto Show is the second major automotive event after the Tehran auto show, the event that was in the first place in the absence of Tehran exhibition until last year. But the thing is that in the past years, this exhibition suffered from lack of good designs and also variety and novelty in the presented products.
After the sanction removal and BARJAM, Iran Khodro and Saipa became the two major car companies in Iran and they started to produce their joint product in partnership with Peugeot and Citroen. On the other hand, the Chinese began to unveil their new cars in Iran and made the exhibitions even more interesting than before. But there was still a great weakness; The weak pavilion designs.
This weakness was not seen at this year's exhibition in Mashhad. Automobile companies tried to be different and more creative. The Ramak Group’s great idea about environment protection and special design of Bahman Group pavilion, inspired from its B30 model showed a great evolution.
Maryam Karbalaei, Marketing Director of Bahman Motors told Khodrocar journalist: There was always a lot of difference in the quality, between Iran and International exhibitions but this time, the Mashhad Auto Show reduced this difference.
She adds: We should consider that the International Exhibitions have had a great impact on this exhibition.
It seems that Iran is the record owner in the world with about 10 automotive exhibitions, but until one year ago, these exhibitions have had a lot of difference with global exhibitions but this year, the Mashhad exhibition reduced this difference and it seems that the automotive companies have reached global standards.
